Mr. John Morris

asked the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to the answer to the right hon. and learned Member for Aberavon on 9 December, Official Report, c. 601, in what terms he was informed of the intention of the National Museum of Wales to spread its payments for the Rubens cartoon over three years; and when he was so informed.

The director of the National Museum wrote to the then permanent secretary of the Department in June 1979 informing him that arrangements had been made to pay for the cartoons in three annual instalments.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to the answer to the right hon. and learned Member for Aberavon on 24 November, Official Report, c.508, when he intends to write to the right hon. and learned Member concerning placing in the Library correspondence between himself, his office and the National Museum of Wales regarding the purchase of the Rubens cartoon.
