Now that planning fees of £44 have been imposed for planning applications for outline permission for one dwelling, what guidelines are given to local authorities regarding:
- Inspection of site;
- Written acknowledgement of decision reached.
§ The Earl of AvonAlthough general advice has been given to local authorities on the determination of planning applications, none has been given on the specific matter of site inspections. It is however a legal requirement that the decision reached shall be communicated in writing to the applicant. Article 7 of the Town and Country Planning General Development Order 1977, provides that a notice of decision on a planning application shall be issued to an applicant in writing within eight weeks of the application or any extended period as may be agreed. It also contains requirements about the content of the notice.
