asked the Attorney-General on what date Mr. Ben Oliver was created a stipendiary magistrate in Cardiff.

Mr. Ben Oliver is not a stipendiary magistrate. He sat as an acting stipendiary magistrate to relieve the pressure of work in Cardiff on 14 days between 15 November and 2 December 1982 to take the long committal stage of proceedings in a charge prior to their trial in the Crown court. The proceedings in the their committal stage are now concluded.
