HC Deb 22 December 1982 vol 34 c586W
Mr. Haynes

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if there are any proposals to close Langwith Lodge and Debdale Hall hospitals to provide finance for the development of Kings Mill hospital, Sutton in Ashfield, in the central Nottinghamshire health district.

Mr. Clarke

I am aware that the central Nottinghamshire health authority is examining the possibility of closing both these hospitals as part of a great review of how it can provide services most effectively. The hon. Member may like to contact the health authority itself if he wishes to obtain further details. Any closure proposals arising from the review would, of course, be subject to the usual consultation procedures.
