§ The Attorney-GeneralSince the Children and Young Persons (Harmful Publications) Act 1955 became law 48 cases involving horror comics have been referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Of these two prosecutions have been brought under the 1955 Act, which both resulted in convictions. A further prosecution under the Act remains outstanding.
