HC Deb 22 December 1982 vol 34 c605W
29. Sir John Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is his policy towards the maintenance of British interests in the Horn of Africa.

Mr Onslow

The Government's policy is to promote British interests by helping to reduce the tensions in the area, thus enabling the countries concerned to concentrate on dealing with their political, economic and social problems free from outside interference.
