§ Mr. AlisonAt October 1982, the total number of people registered as unemployed—old basis—in Greater London was 389,055 of whom 53,136 were under 19 years of age. The corresponding numbers at April 1979—figures by age are not available for May—were 137,139 and 10,314, respectively. The figures include school leavers and are not seasonally adjusted.
