§ Mr. Woolmer
asked the Minister for Trade (1) if British Airways has put any proposals to him regarding the funding of the pension scheme for employees of International Aeradio as part of any financial arrangements involved in the privatisation of that company;
(2) if the privatisation of International Aeradio has yet been completed; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Sproat
The privatisation of IAL has not yet been completed; but it is hoped that it will be as soon as possible. Responsibility for the sale rests primarily with British Airways itself; and it is for British Airways to determine the detailed terms and conditions of the sale, including pension arrangements.
