§ Mr. WaddingtonThe table shows the total number of statutory redundancy payments made to employees of firms based in Scotland, including both payments made by employers who received rebate from the redundancy fund, and payments made direct from the fund to employees whose employers could not pay. The total paid in rebates to Scottish-based employers is also shown, except for 1979, when figures were only available for Great Britain.
