§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will make a statement on the physical attack made upon Mr. Angus Cochrane, a solicitor of Gringley, Nottinghamshire, in St. James's Park London SW1 on Saturday 4 December, resulting in his death; and if he will arrange for more protection to be afforded to the general public within the parks which come within his ministerial control.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneMr. Cochrane was found with serious head injuries at 5.15 am on 4 December. He has since died. I understand that the Metropolitan Police are294W conducting a murder inquiry. The Royal parks constabulary will continue to provide as effective protection as possible.
