§ Mr. Peter Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many places have been provided in Belfast under the youth training programme; what percentage of the places provided have been filled; and what percentage of the places provided have not been filled in (a) East Belfast, (b) West Belfast, (c) North Belfast and (d) South Belfast.
§ Mr. Adam ButlerSome 4,632 places have been provided in Belfast under the youth training programme, and of these 3,485, or 75 per cent. were filled at 25 November 1982.
Information on the youth training programme is collected only by travel-to-work areas, of which Belfast is one. These are self-contained labour markets and are the 66W smallest areas within which it is safe to predict that a job or a training place will be occupied by a resident. Information for smaller areas is therefore not available.
