§ Mr. Gwilym Robertsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) what are the latest figures available of the cost to the Treasury of disregarding widows pensions from 64W income tax assessment; and what estimate is available for the number of widows who would benefit in these circumstances;
(2) if he will introduce measures to disregard all or part of the widows pension from income tax assessments; and if he will make a statement.
