§ Mr. Russell Johnstonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Government of South Africa following the military raid in Maseru, Lesotho.
§ Mr. OnslowI summoned the South African ambassador on 9 December to express the Government's strong disapproval of the South African raid on Maseru. I expressed concern at this serious and unjustified violation of the territorial integrity of a fellow member of the Commonwealth and deplored the resulting loss of life. I urged the South African Government to desist from such attacks.
