§ Mr. William Rossasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland why, in view of information that the Limavady area was at high risk of terrorist attack, the Ulster Defence Regiment mobile patrol from Ballykelly was sent to the Kilrea area some 20 miles away and had to be recalled from there when the bomb exploded in the Droppin Well Bar in Ballykelly on the night of Monday 6 December.
§ Mr. Priorthe operational deployment of the Ulster Defence Regiment is a matter for the general officer commanding; in whose professional judgment and advice I have every confidence.
