§ Mr. Molyneauxasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many high velocity rounds have been fired at the security forces in the past six months; how many injuries resulted; how serious were the injuries; and how many deaths resulted.
§ Mr. PriorDuring the six-month period from 1 June to 30 November 1982 the security forces have been fired at on 78 occasions resulting in eight members of the security forces being killed and 11 injured. Information462W about the nature of the injuries could be obtained only at disproportionate cost. It is estimated that over 600 low and high velocity rounds were fired at the security forces in these incidents.
