§ Mr. WaldegraveIt is provisionally estimated from special returns made by universities to the University Grants Committee that there were 4,018 undergraduate entrants to courses of pre-clinical medicine and 968 to pre-clinical dentistry in the universities of Great Britain in 1982–83. Information concerning postgraduate entry is not yet available.
