§ Mr. Gordon Wilsonasked the Minister for Trade, pursuant to the Minister of State's speech on 17 November, Official Report, c. 396, what further consultation is to take place with gliding interests regarding continuation of gliding facilities at Portmoak.
§ Mr. SproatI understand that having consulted the national air traffic management advisory committee in the normal way, and having already discussed the matter with the gliding interests in this forum, the national air traffic services have decided that the Scottish airways' proposal, which affect gliding activity to some extent, will be put into effect on 17 March.
In the meantime, the national air traffic services will hold further discussions with the gliding interests. The controller has given an assurance that within the framework of the airways' proposal his staff will do all they can to accommodate the Portmoak activities.
