§ Mr. Lawrenceasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether legislation has yet been prepared to provide for the enforcement of custody orders between England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland without the need for further judicial proceedings in the jurisdiction other than that in which the order was made.
§ Mr. MayhewThe Law Commission and the Scottish Law Commission are currently preparing a joint report and draft Bill on the reciprocal recognition and enforcement of child custody orders within the United Kingdom and the harmonisation of the rules governing jurisdiction to make such orders.
