§ Mr. RaisonSince 1 January 1982, 45 representations have been received from hon. Members and about 80 direct from members of the public. In addition, my right hon. Friend has received a petition forwarded to him by the all-party parliamentary group for pensioners—of which the hon. Member is joint chairman.
The Government have no plans to introduce reduced television licence fees for pensioners. Our views of this matter were explained to, and endorsed by, the House of Commons on 16 December.—[Vol. 15, c. 322–61.]
