§ Mr. Aitkenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what was (a) the total cost to public funds of his Department's inquiry in December 1963 into appeals by Messrs. J. Enticott & Son (Dartford) Limited and Mr. P. J. E. Enticott against enforcement notices served by the Dartford rural district council, (b) the total cost to public funds of his Department's inquiry in April 1979 into appeals by Mr. P. J. Enticott, Fullite Limited and others against enforcement notices served by the Dartford borough council and (c) the estimated total cost to public funds of the appeal proceedings in the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court of P. J. Enticott and Fullite Limited versus the Secretary of State for the Environment and others.
§ Mr. Giles ShawIt is estimated that the cost to my right hon. Friend's Department alone was of the order of252W £1,000. The Department is contacting Dartford borough council about its costs and I shall write to my hon. Friend once these are known.
