§ Mr. Dobsonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science in what way the financial and other restraints have changed since the Secretary of State decided in February 1981 that he would not designate courses at the Architectural Association School of Architecture as eligible for mandatory grants.
§ Mr. WaldegraveThe Architectural Association School of Architecture has accepted designation on the basis that the maximum fee payable as part of the award will be the same as for universities and maintained institutions, that is, £480 in the academic year 1982–83. On this basis the cost of designation is small and can be contained within the Department's existing resources.
