§ Mr. Anderson asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will consider abolishing housing action areas and 226W general improvement areas in favour of housing renewal areas with greater scope and flexibility for local authorities.
§ Mr. Wyn Roberts:The Government have no plans to abolish the arrangements relating to housing action areas or general improvement areas, but we are always interested in proposals for new approaches to the problems of our older housing areas.
