§ Mr. Alexander Fletcher:At September 1979, the latest date for which the information is available, the percentage of the following posts in education authority schools that were held by women were:
(a) primary school headteachers 50.6 (b) all promoted posts in secondary schools 28.9 (c) secondary school headteachers 3.2
§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will express in percentage terms the number of women employed in the following sectors (a) full-time nursery teaching staff, (b) primary school teaching staff, (c) secondary teaching staff, (d) lecturers in colleges of education and (e) lecturers in central institutions.
