§ The Prime Minister:The Government declared Mr. V. N. Lazine persona non grata because he had engaged in activities incompatible with his diplomatic status. Press reports of a connection between him and disturbances in the United Kingdom were without foundation. The interests of our security would not be served by disclosing further details of the case.
