Friend the Secretary of State for Defence and I have received some 148 communications about the decision to close Her Majesty's Dockyard Chatham and to run down Her Majesty's Dockyard Portsmouth, of which 66 were from MPs, 25 from local authorities, 14 from trade unions and 43 from private individuals and organisations.
