§ 24. Dr. J. Dickson Mabonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he received from the United Kingdom Offshore Operators Association its proposals to change the present North Sea tax regime; and by what date he intends fully to reply.
§ Mr. RidleyUKOOA's proposals for the long-term structure of the North Sea tax regime were received on 15 October, and we shall be discussing them with the association in a meeting later this afternoon. My right hon. and learned Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer expects to announce firm decisions on the future of the regime in his Budget next year.
