§ Dr. BoysonSchool admission arrangements are a matter for local education authorities. General guidance was issued in circular 1/81, but my Department does not monitor the ways in which local education authorities discharge this duty. The practice of one London authority which was recently the subject of press reports has, I understand, now been changed.
