§ Mr. BlakerThe Madrid meeting reconvened on 5 May. Drafting work on the final document continues and we remain determined to do what we can to secure a substantial and balanced outcome. To achieve this will require real progress to be made over the next few weeks; it would damage the continuing value of the CSCE process if the meeting were to drag on interminably and fruitlessly.
