§ Sir Ian GilmourThe 30 May 1980 agreement envisages that the review of the Community budget should be completed by the end of 1981.
The Commission is to put forward its proposals next month. These will be discussed by the European Council on 29 and 30 June. It will be a major priority during the United Kingdom presidency to ensure that the review is tackled effectively.
