Friend is probably referring to the assurance given to the Government by the Building Societies Association that a 100 per cent. loan to a sitting tenant is normal building society practice. If my hon. Friend has evidence that this practice is not being followed, perhaps he would provide me with details.
§ Mr. Michael Brownasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will take up formally with the borough of Scunthorpe its rate of progress in implementing the right to buy council houses.
