§ Mr. Parkinson[pursuant to his reply, 11 May 1981, c. 173]: The Government have already made clear their intention to seek a tough successor to the present multi-fibre arrangement when it expires at the end of this year. It would not, however, be appropriate to disclose our negotiating hand in advance.
