§ Mr. Peter Millsasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he is now in a position to announce the removal of all heavy artillery firing from Dartmoor.
§ Mr. GoodhartI have set in hand a review of the requirement for artillery firing on Dartmoor which will consider in particular the FH70 and also the use of the moor by artillery units not based in the South-West. Pending the outcome of this review there will be no further FH70 firings on Dartmoor.
