§ Mr. GoodhartThe total strength of United Kingdom Service personnel and United Kingdom-based civilians, including staff of the Royal ordnance factories, on 1 January 1981 amounted to 333,900 and 232,800 respectively. Of these figures, 2.1 per cent. Service men and 4.1 per cent. civilians were employed in Wales.
