§ Mr. McMahonasked the Prime Minister what part Her Majesty's Government are prepared to play in a summit meeting between the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
§ The Prime MinisterThe question of a summit meeting between the United States of America and the USSR is a matter for the Governments of those two countries. However, President Reagan has made it clear that he wishes to consult America's allies and we shall play our full pant in any process of consultation. It is the Government's view that a summit should be very carefully prepared if it is to succeed as we would wish.
