HC Deb 11 March 1981 vol 1000 cc352-3W
Dr. David Clark

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what arrangements he has made, following the abolition of the Hadrian's Wall Advisory Committee, for the provision of advice to him concerning his responsibilities in respect of Hadrian's Wall.

Mr. Monro

I continue to receive advice about Hadrian's Wall from my inspectors of ancient monuments, and from the Ancient Monuments Board for England.

One of my inspectors has a special responsibility for the whole of the wall and ensures that I am kept informed of the views of local archaeologists.
