§ 20. Dr. Mawhinneyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a statement on the representations he has received on the Williams report on obscenity and film censorship.
§ Mr. WhitelawI have received a substantial volume of correspondence expressing widely different views about the report. The Government are not yet in a position to announce their conclusions on the Committee's recommendations, but we have already said that we see no early prospect of general Government legislation on this subject.
