§ Mr. WhitelawI welcome Lord Diplock's report, which was published on 3 March. I note his conclusion that
the procedures for the interception of communications are working satisfactorily and with the minimum interference with the individual's rights of privacy in the interests of the public weal".I propose to make no changes to the procedures examined by Lord Diplock.
§ 24. Mr. Christopher Priceasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many representations he has received about the implementation of the Diplock report on the interception of communications.
