§ Mrs. Sally OppenheimI have no doubt that the great majority of manufactures and traders are complying with the sealskins goods marking requirements, enforcement of which is a matter for local authority trading standards officers. The latter have adequate powers under the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 to establish in cases of doubt whether an offence has been committed. On the last part of the question, no reliable estimate is possible.
