§ Mr. Bob Dunnasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he has published the report on children of West Indian origin from the committee of inquiry into the education of children from ethnic minority groups; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Mark CarlisleThe first report of the committee, "West Indian Children in Our Schools" is published today. Copies are available in the Vote Office and the Library of the House. I am most grateful to the committee, and its then chairman, Mr. Anthony Rampton, for the work which has gone into its preparation. I intend to consult widely on the report's implications for the education service, and I look forward to receiving in 1983 the committee's main report on the educational needs and attainments of children from all ethnic minority groups.
