§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what further progress has been made in implementing the recommendations of the Silver Jubilee Committee on improving access for disabled people; and if he will list in his reply the local authorities of which he is aware that now have access officers as recommended by the Silver Jubilee Committee.
§ Mr. RossiI refer the right hon. Gentleman to my reply to him on 13 February.—[Vol. 998, c.442.] In addition, Government amendments were made in another place to the Disabled Persons (No. 2) Bill and to what is now the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Scotland) Act, that would have the effect, in line with a recommendation by the Silver Jubilee committee, of strengthening the access provisions of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970.
