HC Deb 15 June 1981 vol 6 c246W
Mr. Campbell-Savours

asked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he will take measures to ensure that used textile machinery from the most recent factory to be closed by Courtaulds will not be exported to companies in the United States of America, particularly in view of the recent anti-dumping investigations by the European Economic Community Commission which led to antidumping duties being introduced against those companies listed in trade press notice No. 253 of 21 May 1981.

Mrs. Sally Oppenheim

I do not consider that export controls would be justified; nor would they be consistent with our international obligations.
