§ Mr. George Robertsonasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many of each of Defence Facts sheets one, two, three and four have been printed; to whom they have been distributed; what was the total cost of printing and distribution; and whether he intends to publish any more in the series.
§ Mr. Blaker5,000 copies of each of these fact sheets have been printed. Almost all of them have now been distributed on request to a wide variety of private individuals, schools, polytechnics, universities and other groups. In view of the demand, a reprint has been ordered.
The printing cost—including amortised overheads—amounts to a little over 2p a copy. Total distribution costs covering postage amount currently to £30.30.
Further subjects for the series are being considered which would give factual information on areas of defence likely to be of interest to the general public
