§ Mr. MacGregor[pursuant to his reply, 28 July 1981]: The only circumstance in which a firm is required to notify the Department of expansion plans is when an industrial development certificate is required. The exemption limit is now 50,000 sq. ft. There has been one such application in the Wolverhampton TTWA this year; the additional employment likely to accrue was unspecified.
