§ Sir David Priceasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether, in view of the fact that the Hamble boatbuilders, Fairways Marine, employing some 240 people, has just gone into liquidation, he will invite the Manpower Services Commission to find new employment for those made redundant with special reference to the re-allocation of apprentices.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonThe Government's employment and training services are available to all those made redundant and every effort will be made to help those affected by this closure. We have made further funds available to assist employers willing to undertake the continued training of redundant apprentices.
