HC Deb 31 July 1981 vol 9 c592W
Mr. Cormack

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what arrangements he is making for meeting the cost of the urgent repairs to Barlaston Hall arising from the notice he has served under section 101 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971.

Mr. Monro

This is the first time that these powers have been used and parliamentary approval to this new service will be sought in a Supplementary Estimate for the Royal Palaces and Parks etc. Vote (Class 8, 4). Pending that approval, the necessary expenditure will be met by a repayable advance of £6,000 from the Contingencies Fund.
