(2) what are the criteria by which members of the Health Education Council are appointed;
(3) what are the names of the present members of the Health Education Council, the appointments they hold and the duration of their membership of the council.
§ Sir George YoungHealth Education Council members are appointed after consultation with my right hon. and my right hon. and learned Friends the Secretaries of State for Wales, Northern Ireland, and Education and Science, and professional and other organisations representing a wide range of interests including medical, nursing, dental, health education and local government. The criteria for selection are the personal qualities of the candidates and the need for the council to reflect the many professional and other interests that contribute to the development of an effective health education service.
