§ Mr. Peter WalkerIt is a matter of some satisfaction that the annual rate of growth of expenditure on the common agricultural policy has been halved since we took office and increases in support prices in the main surplus sectors held well below the rate of inflation. I hope that the Commission's recent report will lead in due course to further substantial improvements in the common agricultural policy.
