§ Mr. Peter MorrisonMy right hon. Friend has completed his consideration of these proposals. As a result, subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimate, the grant-in-aid to the72W Manpower Services Commission will be increased by £9.6 million in 1981–82. My right hon. Friend is writing to the chairman of the Manpower Services Commission to inform him of this decision and of the consequential increase of £11 million in provision for 1982–83. This provision is in line with the MSC's estimate of the money required to help support industry's long-term training.
