§ Mr. Clinton Davisasked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) if he will make a further statement on the nature of the representations he has received relating to his proposals with regard to the future of the Official Receiver service;
(2) if he has received the report of the Cork committee on insolvency and bankruptcy, or any part thereof; when such document was received; and when Her Majesty's Government hope to be in a position to make a statement on its policy implications.
§ Mr. EyrePart 1 of the final report of the Cork committee was presented in May and is being studied by officials. I have not yet received the second part: the full report will be published. I am in the meantime still considering the various comments made by interested bodies on the Green Paper on bankruptcy.
