§ 23. Mr. Greenway
asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether, following the setting up of the inquiry into the education of children from ethnic 351W minorities, he will set up a similar inquiry into educational disadvantages suffered by children from all sections of society regardless of racial origin.
§ Mr. Mark Carlisle
I have no plans to do so. Over the years a number of national inquiries have looked at specific aspects of educational disadvantage either on their own or as part of a wider study. Specific studies are likely to be more fruitful than attempts to cover the whole field.
